why would my insurance company call me

I'm awaiting approval and I arrived home late tonight and had a call from my insurance.  I have no idea what they might want.  I'm dying having to wait until morning to find out... anyone have any idea what they might want??

 So did you call them back and ask them what they wanted if so what did they say.

Well... the nurse that called from insurance didnt work today and I called the nurse at my surgeons office and she was off today too... unbelievable, looks like I have to wait until Monday!  ggrrr

Please post when you find out.  My insurance company called me the same day I got my written denial (couple of weeks ago).  I knew I was denied already, but when I got that message I thought, maybe a glimmer of hope.  Then I though, "I'll bet they are just checking to make sure I didn't kick the bucket yet"...sure enough, the latter was true!  In my pre-authorization for surgery packet, I included letters from 3 of my specialists.  They all wrote AWESOME letters that make it sound like I should have been dead last week!  Anyway, the insurance was calling to let me know about their "care coordination" services for those with specific chronic conditions.  Obviously, my name was passed to this nurse who called because of my pre-authorization packet.
