BCBS of Nebraska...

Looking through our policy I have discovered the following:

Noncovered Services and Supplies:

_Dietary counseling, except covered diabetic nutrition management.

_Treatment and monitoring for obesity or for weight reduction, regardless of diagnosis, including surgical operations.

I have read other responses that I can lobby for my hubby's employer to change their plan (which is probably unlikely) .  Do we have anything else to stand on or are we just out of luck if the insurance just will not cover it?

I guess my only other option is self pay, thinking about going to Weight Wise in Oklahoma..

Any other thoughts..

If you plan doesn't cover it then, unfortunately, your only option is self-pay.  You may be able to get a medical loan to cover it.  Your doctor would have info on that.
