Aetna HMO Open Access.........

 I recently completed my 6 months of supervised diets.  All my appointments had been scheduled at the end of each month.  In june my primary Dr was on vacation therefore they couldnt see my for my regular appointment and had to schedule my June Appt for July 1st..  This worries me, but in return I had my primaries office send a letter with my 6 months of dieting stating that he was on vacation to my Surgeons office.  Can anyone just give me some insight on what you think Aetna might have to say about this seeing as though I didn't miss the appointment it was my doctor that couldnt see me.....I'm stressing big time.  This 6 months has been really tough.

Try not to stress - i know it is hard. As long as your appointments were withing a few days of being a month apart, syou should not have a problem. I have Aetna also, and while my May and Jume appts were on the 12, my July appt was on the 14th due to a weekend. I just got my approval letter after doing the 3 month regimen, so hopefully the date thing won't be an issue for you either. :)

What surgery were you approved for? I'm asking because I will be finishing my three months on the 8th.  I will be submitting to Aetna for the sleeve. I do have a letter from them with the code sayiing that they approve it but it also says that it in investigational. So I'm worried that it may not be approved. How long did it take for you to get the answer?  Thanks Skye
