feeling overwhelmed

hi guys..i want to cry....my pcp hasnt sent over the 2 yrs records showing that i have been overweight that whole time. and understand, my pcp is old school and feels that i should 'get off my butt and exercise' to loose weight. so...my gastric group is going to call my doctor after they get back in from lunch at 1:30. i feel as if something stops me from having my surgery that i am sched for on 9/2, i will just die. i'm at work and i just want to sit down and cry. HELP!!!

Your PCP has no right to stop you from seeking the treatment you feel best fits you & your life. I would have my records transferred and continue with a doctor who understands that treatments are as individual as the people seeking them.

Your records are available for you whether your doctor agrees with wls or not.  Fill out the form to request your records then take them to your surgeons office.  They can probably put you in contact with a new pcp that will write the required letter of recommendation.
