It has been 5 months and my bariatric center has YET to send all my info to the insurance company!!  I do not know what else to do for them? I gathered all my records from 5 yrs back for them months ago and I saw the surgeons asst and the nutritionalist and they were hoping for a surgery date in September. But now that I found out that the Business office hasnt even sent out anything I dont know when it will be. Is anyone else having htis problem???

That is unacceptable.

By law, they have to provide you with everything in your charts. I would march up there and demand IN PERSON that they send the info right away or give it to you so you can send it in yourself.

Personally, I would take my business elsewhere to tell you the truth. There are other qualified surgeons in your area.

I had a similar experience.. They were sitting on my info for almost 4 weeks. I didn't have the time to go to the office and I new if I did It would not be a calm conversation. So I just sent an email to the surgeon his self. And you know what.. The office rep called me within a half hour. LOL. They got on top of their job and now I have a date and I'm approved.. You can't allow the months to go by. They aren't thinking about you. You have to be on top of them. Even if its on the verge of being annoying. Oh well. You have a goal. Best of Luck!

I had the same problem with Dr. Kini's office!  I kept calling my insurance to confirm they had recieved it and when they told me they hadn't I kept calling Kini's office. I think I called about 25 times within three days.

I would say that is very unusual.  My bariatric center had to wait for the required 6 month supervised diet was completed, but the day it was completed they faxed over the info.  They contacted the insurance company once a wee****il approved.  Their was a mix up on the type of surgery and they are taking care of that as well.  My experience has been great.

I am sorry you are having so much trouble.
