KY Medicaid

Can anyone tell me about what it entails getting approved for the RNY? Has anyone gotten out of doing the 6 month diet prior to surgery? I will only have my Medical card for a short time and am trying to make the best of it.

Do they offer a medical provider with your medicaid some states do that It works hand in hand with medicaid ....Some doctors can get around the 6 mth wait it depends on your situation....are you currently doing pre-op testing now

Getting approval for RNY w/ Medicaid is easy! It's the insurance I had. I think the 6 month supervised diet is something fairly new. Back in 2006 I didn't have to do it. With RNY (and every other surgery you will have to have follow ups for life..) you may want to think of this since you say you will only have your card for a short time.
