Aetna Approval Letter - question...

I have a question about my Aetna Approval Letter.  Under the line "Coverage Decision For:" has "12/31/2008 - 12/31/2008".  Does that mean the approval is only good for 12/31/2008?

No, When your doctor's office submitts the paperwork they have to give a date of surgery so they just make up a date. Call your doctor and find out the actual date, I'm sure it's sooner (unless he is actually booked up till 12/31/08)

Let's hope it doesn't  take that long.  Thank you for your reply.  I was told that the scheduler will call me when they get the approval letter.  Since I got it yesterday, I will give them a couple of days before I call.

Wow - thanks for asking this question.  I too just got my approval letter from Aetna and it has a date of 2/5/2009!!  I was wondering the same thing.
