purely curious- what did ins pay (RNY)

I am self pay and at peace with that.  My "package price" for hospital plus surgeon is about $25,000.  Just to know how messed up the industry is - how much did your ins pay for RNY?  My cousin, same surgeon and hosp, 4 yrs ago, her ins. was billed betweend 50,000 and 60,000.....

I believe alot of it has to do with how long your hospital stay is too.
They charge a little over 5000 a night to stay at most hospitals.  You'd think for that
price the drink & food options would be a little better. 
When I had my daughter 2 years ago, I was in the hospital for 5 days and the bill was
almost 40,000 and that was just for the hospital.  It's insane how much they charge.

That is kind of what I was thinking, that it is just ALL over the board.  It's insane that this is the way our system works.
