Is it too much to ask

For professionality, honesity and efficiency in the health care industry. Is it too much to ask, that you get a call back from a manager -- that you get the same answer and not a totally different and contradictory answer from two people.  To not be hung up on, spoken down to, or lied to?

The insurance companies should not be allowed to work for a profit...it is disgusting.

I can't change things, but I can make you laugh.  If you haven't already, go to the Duodenal Switch forum and look at 1." Insurance Company Rules" pos****ch the video....priceless
and 2. for more fuel to your fire...read the one about "My surgery costs $70,000...how much did your cost?"...or something like that.

Insurance is broken in the United States.  There is no cure.  It's End Stage, too late now.

Apparently it is too much to ask. Sigh.

I got so many contradictory answers and ended up spending a few months just waiting around for Open Enrollment to switch carriers, because I was told WLS was covered under one of our plans if you have co-morbidities. Found out during open enrollment that this was a lie -- even though there is nothing in our Summary Plan Booklet saying WLS is excluded.

It's SO FRUSTRATING dealing with these people.
