24 month weight history??

Ok, so this may sound silly...but how do they figure a 24 month weight history?  Is it your highest weight in 2007 and then your highest weight in 2008?  Or is it in 2007 you weighed *** and a year later you were ***. 

Does this make any kind of sense what I am saying?

In 2006 I missed being over 40 bmi by 1 pt.  In 2007 I was at 43.  In 2008 I am at 44.  My surgery  and no information on me will be submitted to the insurance company until 2009 (have to do the six month diet).   With that being said, will they take 2007 and 2008 for my 24 months?

Your dr. will need to submit your weight history from your dr. visits during that two year period. 

 

Two things to look at -

Do you have any co-morbids? If you do, a 35 BMI is enough so don't worry about 2006.

Secondly, have your hieght re-taken at the doc's next time you go. Sometimes, the doctors just take what we say is our height and you may actually be an inch shorter than you think (especially with weight pulling you down), which you can use to re-calculate your BMI.

And yes, a weight history is a list of all your wieghts from all your doc visits during the previous 24 months.

I had a 5 year weight requirement, and when I submitted my paperwork in January of this year, I submitted for 2004, 05, 06, 07 and 08.
Ask your insurance company.

I agree with Larissa--- check your height.    One inch can significantly change your BMI.
