self-pay

Just curious...Has anyone got the bariactric surgery being self-pay? Do you still go through all the liquid diets and pre-ops with all the different drs? Or do you pay and have the surgery? I would much rather get educated from the drs before having the surgery.

The Dr makes no difference between self-pay and insured (other than they give self-pays a discount usually). All must go through whatever testing and counsiling they require.
