Cigna insurance

I have Cigna insurance and have completed the criteria for RNY surgery and anxiously waiting approval.  Does anyone know how long it usally takes Cigna to respond?

My office gets an answer in 25 to 30 days. I encourage all of our patients to call Cigna and verify they received it and forwarded it to the right dept for review. Then I encourage them to ask for a Nurse Advocate to help them. Many of the nurse advocates help it get reviewed quicker. If you have not done either, do it tomorrow.

I have Cigna here in NY and they gave me a response in about 7 days, unfortunately it was a denial but I am about to appeal.  Let us know how it goes.  Good luck.

Still waiting on an answer from Cigna, it has only been 3 weeks,b ut I am getting anxious and nervous with the waiting.
