I'm approved!!!! UHC rec'd my appeal on 6/12/08. My approval letter was in the box today. I'm so happy. Don't ever give up.

Congrats! I had UHC when I had my surgery done. I now have BCBS of Texas and I am very thankful to have been with UHC for approval. Much easier with them.

Weight Lost since pre-op diet on 3/6/08 (Drs. scale has me 0.8 lbs less)

You need to find out what the written requirements are for your plan. UHC has many different plans. I hope this info helps.

Yep I had UHC, but my stinky-arse employer took the plan that excluded WLS. So I changed job and had Keystone East and was approved in less than 24 hours.

I am working on an appeal right now for UHC, because I haven't been Morbidly Obese for 5 years. Do you have any suggestions for my appeal? Thanks Sherri
