First Health in CO?

My husband talked with his company ins rep today and was told that FH does NOT cover Bariatric surgery. So my question is why is Dr. Johnell on the In-Network list of doctors when WLS is all he does? ETA~ I just found several websites that list Insurance companies who cover Lap-Band and First Health is on all of the lists!  And it's the same phone number and website link as the ones I use for my insurance so I know it's the same one.

Most insurance companies sell different tiers of coverage. The tier that your husband's company purchased doesn't include coverage, but that doesn't mean they don't offer the coverage at all. Perhaps your husband's company can look into upgrading their coverage at the next open negotiation period.

Exactly this! I plan to write a letter requesting they add it in September. *fingers crossed*
