Starbucks Insurance

I read on here a few months ago that Starbucks insurance covers WLS and that to qualify for their insurance you only had to work part time. The insurance through my Dad's employer currently has an exclusion for WLS, so I applied to work at Starbucks. I have an interview on Monday. Does anyone know if it is still true that WLS is covered under this plan? Also, do you know what kind of documentation they require for approval? I'd like to get started on those because I'm sure it takes a while for the insurance to become effective (that is if I get hired). Thanks.

You need a current Starbucks employee to answer to know for sure. But with all their financial problems as of late, I wonder...

hi, I currently work for starbucks and have been at the company on and off for the last 2 years and yes it is true, I just started the insurance again on Aug. 1 and have an appointment to get the wheels roll on the 20 for WLS, I only work 20hrs a week which gives me full coverage! I live in Oregon and my insurance is Aetna which i do believe is the main insurance for starbuck excluding a few states.. if you go to there website it tells you what they require for WLS

For someone starting out without any insurance and without a job, how long could we reasonably expect to go for surgery assuming we got hired by Starbucks on this monday?
