Congrats  on getting your company to add  WLS to their insurance!  I am so happy for you.   That is great news and you should be proud that you stood up for yourself and others in your company to get this coverage.  


I went and read your profile.  Thanks for including the letter you wrote to your HR, mine was in a similar vein and since it is an engineering company - I included a full sheet of facts relating obesity, health and WLS statistics.  You know those engineers love their numbers!

BTW....  I cannot tell you how many times I have had someone yell "FAT ASS" or other similarly non imaginative phrase at me.  There are some days that my middle finger sure gets a good workout! LOL!!!    You are right about obesity being the last acceptable prejudice.
