Gary-UHC Revision Criteria

HI Gary, I am wondering if you have basic criteria for UHC for revisions.  I have State of Arizona UHC and we are looking to submit the paperwork for approval.  I have most of the same co-morbidities that I had with my first surgery.  My BMI has never dropped below 40.  I will let you know if I don't get approved as I will be calling you for sure.  You did me right the first time and  won't hesitate this time either. You Rock!!!!

Hi Deanne, Good luck with your revision. I was reading your profile and saw where you didn't have to have your conference call. I have one scheduled for June 25th. Why didn't you have to do that? Peace, Linda

Hi Linda, That was on my first surgery and battling with Cigna  I was scheduled to have a conference call, but they had call Gary like 1/2 hour before the call was to be made and said that I was approved.  Gary did his magic for me.  I am hoping that I don't have to do that battle again with the revision.  I will hire Gary if need be and everyone knows that I will.  Dr. Schlesinger isgreat and they are getting all their ducks in a row before submitting it.  I will finally get all my paperwork from PCP and letter of medical necessity on Thursday and will get them sent up to his office.   Deanne

Paul, Yes they are ERISA and they are self funded.  I am having trouble getting any kind of information out of them or anyone else.  We are looking at it uder the idea that I will require most of everything that a new person would require going for a first surgery.  I am hoping that I don't have to do the 6 month diet for the revision, but if that is the worst I have to do, then so be it.  I have documentation from my original surgery documenting every 1-3 months since my original surgery.  We are hoping that it will fulfill what is needed.
