Kaiser

Good Morning All,  This is a cross post from the VGS board...but I thought that this might be better place to get an answer. I was contemplating going for surgery in Mexico because my current insurance would make me pay an arm and a leg for surgery anyway and there are a million hoops that I would have to jump through. I was given the option of switching to Kaiser today by HR as this is open enrollment. I was just wondering if anyone has had the VGS covered by Kaiser in California. If so, how grueling is the process. Thank you so much for any feedback.

Hi    Every Kaiser has a different program. I had my RNY at Kaiser Freemont and it was wonderful!  They have started doing the lap band as well. I don't think they do any of the other surgeries. Freemont did not make me go through the 6 months of classes that some have. As far as diet history I just wrote on the slip what diets I had tried in the past. Some Kaiser plans  do have a co pay. I have Kaiser clasic and it cost me nothing!                                                                                               Good Luck,                                                                                               Nancy
