Getting Ins for the WLS

I hope some of you might know the answer to this. Right now I am uninsured and have been for the last two+ years. I am in the process of finding new insurance that will cover a DS/BPD. I have talked to BCBS of North Carolina and they have said I would have to wait a year before they would cover any WLS. I don't know what the other ins. companies would say. I hate waiting and I also hate having to pay through the nose for insurance. Getting a job at Starbucks isn't a possibility right now since the closest one is two hours away (I know..we must be one of the only communities in the country with no Starbucks)  So...does anybody have an creative ideas on how I can do this? I am so tired of being obese and the thought of going to Weigh****chers *again* makes me want cry.  Thanks in advance

Ive never heard of anyone going through private ins that got covered for surgery. You don't have to work at starbucks to get covered for WLS. I know how you feel about the waiting thing. Ive been waiting for health insurance for about six months now! But patience is key to all this because no matter what there is always some hoop they would like you to jump its always a waiting game. There are a lot of jobs out there that cover WLS I work at an alaskan based credit union and mine is covered! Look around.

Thanks for the replies y'all. I appreciate you giving me some feedback even though it wasn't what I wanted to hear   I guess I just have to do some more research and wait a little longer.
