How does cobra work, I will be losing my insurance the second week of July and am comsidering electing cobra. Iam still in the preop testing stages. I am very worried that I will not have my surgery prior to my coverage ending.

You are eligible to keep Cobra for 18 months (so long as a new insurance doesn't kick in, i.e. switching jobs).  Just so long as you pay your premiums, you shouldn't have a problem. -Elli
