Highmark PPO ~ Pennsylvania

My policy provides for and approves the lap and RNY and considers the DS to be *experimental* Of course, it's the DS that I want and I don't want to (and won't) *settle* for the lap or RNY. Has anyone had any success in having your DS  approved??... either right away or after the appeals process? I have no problem in qualifying for WLS as my BMI is 46 and I have many other co-morb conditions. I do believe however, that my overall long term health needs will be best served by the DS WLS. Any pointers/help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. If you have helpful links or articles and/or are willing to share your successful appeal letters, please, PLEASE let me know.
