Insurance coverage for Hiatal Hernia and self pay for WLS????

Hey all, Just checking to see if anyone has any insight into getting the insurance company to cover a Hiatal Hernia Repair and then add on a self pay WLS. Im looking into getting the VSG and cigna does not cover the VSG or DS. Thanks for any input.

You may want to check with your doctor and see if this is even an option. Usually the Hiatal Hernia repair or " Nissen Fundoplication" has to be taken down or undone before they do WLS so I do not think  they can be done at the same time.  Check with your surgeon and see if he has any suggestions as to how you could get this done. Thanks so much for your response. It is a great help. I would self pay for the WLS part, but I don't think my hernia qualifies for repair. Just pulling at straws here.
