Help. Spouses work has wls exclusion with uhc

My spouse is changing from Cigna to UHC in July of 08. I called his HR and they told me they have an exclusion for wls. The thing is, the CEO of his company is hell bent about his employees (close to 2000) loose weight and be fit. I already have one letter of medical necessity. I guess I am just going to have to self pay on this. After reading all of the info on ObesityHelp....It looks like employer exclusions are iron clad. Can anyone with any similar cir****tances help with some advice. Thank You.

well maybe if u get all ur paper in u can have an approval and date before ur coverage changes. I have read post of some poeple getting their approvals in less that five days...Its a thought!
