Ok I had the ROSE procedure done via a clinical trial in Georgetown  KY ...all was well til today ...they billed the insurance for the Upper GI series and the Endoscope ....I had one here in Knoxville but the surgeon wanted to do his own ....I had called my company and told them I needed my Primary Insurance cancelled because it wasnt benefitting me anymore ...was told no problem..... so when I went to KY ...I gave them Cigna Card.  they got approval for the two tests ...and it was covered ...NOW they get a letter saying my other insurance wasnt cancelled after all .... Not sure what to do ...they are both PPOs but Cariten is a local company and not sure if it covers out of state .... This has really upset me ...anyne have any idea what might happen at this point ?

Whichever insurance is your primary insurance will be billed first.  Then whatever they decide they are responsible for is sent back to the billing office as an EOB.  That EOB and the claim is then submitted to the secondary insurance.  The billing office should take care of that for you, but you may have to follow up on some of it.
