So my health insurance company is requiring a 3 year weight history.... I have three years....Kinda! I have 2004/2005/2007/2008 do you think this would still count? I have a weight diary that I wrote back in aug 2006.... But I dont know if that would count! Does anyone have any answers?

What they mean is proving your weight was obese for at least three years. You only need ot provide one weight for each of the past 3 years. You do not nees all of your medical office notes or weigh****chers records for 3 years. If you are missing one year, go back 2, show them your obesity has persisted MORE than 3 years. Remember to choose the highest weight for each year, ond only send one, that's all you need.

So it doesn't need to be 3 consecutive?

Usually they do mean consecutive, but when you are able to provide info that shows you have been morbidly obese for longer, they let it slide. Add your journal in with a short note "I did not go to the docotrs for the year 2006, but here is my weight journal. As you can see from my records, I have been morbidly obese for XX years." The reason is that they do not want people who were 120 pounds last year, who got pregnant and gained 85 pounds, getting a bypass.  See what I mean? Bariatric surgery is not a replacement for proper diet and exercise. Rules like that prevent the "quick fix" seekers.
