Denied AGAIN

Now someone please tell me how the hell can I be denied the 2nd time.  I gave my insurance the letter the requested from my pcp with all my meds on it.  Now they r telling me that is doesn't specify that it is medically necessary. What the hell do they want from me?   I'm so frustrated and could kill the rep that told me.  I asked the idiot what else did they need and he said they need to see that it is medically necessary.  HOW THE HELL DO I DO THAT. I have sent them every damn thing.........

Whew! I've been in your shoes. I don't know the specifics but i'll offer this bit of advice :  CALM DOWN, Make these people your friends (ie: play the game) and don't give up. Is there someone at the docs office that could help you out?

sounds like they were looking for a letter from your pcp stating you are medically stable for bariatric surgery and he is in support of it for you (medically nesessary). Most docs letters I get say "due to Ms Jones's high blood pressure, diabetes and inability to lose significant weight, I recommend bariatric surgery" If you have Cigna, this is necessary, you need separate medical, nutritional and psych evals.
