UHC "Medical Necessity" Not written as part of exclusion....
I live in Missouri and have UHC through my HUGE Corporation. The policy does have exclusion for "Bariatric, Weight Loss & Stomach Reduction" surgery, but does not say one word about "Medical Necessity". Has anyone experienced this?? I'm thinking it might be a loop hole...one can hope. Meaning maybe since there is medical necessity I could fight it. Any thoughts?? Thank you for listening!
They don't have to write anything about medical necessity because they are excluding it, regardless of reason. You have 2 choices, hire Gary as your lawyer or come up with the cash.
Make sure you get it in writing from the insurer or you rpolicy beek that it's excluded first, before you take out a big loan or something. Bonnie
