Hi All,
I contacted UHC and I can't seem to get out of them the criteria for revision surgery.  Does anyone have any information on this?  All I get is that it is excludes except for medical necessity.  We all know that people are getting approved for initial surgery and they paid for mine in 2004.  I am just wondering wif anyone has gotten this information out of them.  They tell you to look at the policy book, but it tells you nothing but excluded etc.
Thanks

Hey there.  Welcome to my world!  I have the same doctor as you and had state employee insurance.  Dr. Blackstones office can get this information for you and probably more accurate at doing it too!  When you say "revision" I am not sure what you are referring to.  In an act of God I was just approved with my appeal.  If you need help, feel free to ask. Hi Lnz I have my stoma that is wide open and no restriction any more.  Had a GED and Colonoscopy today and the GI Dr. couldn't find the source of my abdominal pain.  I will be having a CAT scan sometime soon.  I never lost down to my goal, I still have about 80 lbs to go.  Dr. B only wants to do a lap band over top of my RNY and I am still considering my options.  I basically know what the criteria are to qualify for the surgery, but I don't know what they are for revisions.  Dr. B wanted me to lose 5 lbs about a year ago, and now I have gained about 20 lbs so I know she really doesn't want to do the revision at this point.   By the way, congratulations on getting approved.
