Wondering if it is okay to switch drs in the middle of the six month diet. My primary dr has completed all the prelim documentation, but is not covered by my current plan. considered out of network. Im having to pay for every office visit monthly in addition to weekly WW dues.

Your insurance company will not care how many different doctors participated in your diet, as long as their required documentation requirements have been satisfied. I have gotton approval for many patients that did not have all their visits with the same doc. The biggest problem I ever encounter is that docs do not dictate everything that needs to be documented fot the supervised diet. Many patients insist that its all there, when I review the records, it isnt, it will say something like "one month follow up" and have vitals and weight. That is simply not enough info for the insurance company. Good luck! Bonnie
