I have never met anyone who won an exclusion. Our office will not fight an exclusion on a patients behalf, we will only fight a denial for people who actually have coverage. From what I have heard, you have to be able to prove youe life is in immediate danger to be able to win. If you have time to fight an exclusion, how the heck can you prove that? I wish you all the best in the world....I fought our BCBS exclusion for 2 years, then bagged it and went to Mexico. I got better care there anyway than the hospital I worked at!! Imagine that! Good luck! Bonnie

I was also denied due to an exclusion policy. I have BCBS of MN. Of course, other BCBS of MN plans cover the surgery - just not mine. I have no idea what to do next; however there is a chance for me to change over in August to CHIP (which is a state sponsored plan for people who cannot obtain insurance coverage). In the meantime my health, like yours, just gets worse. I hate the words "exclusion" & "pre-existing"

You see things; and you say 'Why?'
But I dream things that never were; and I say 'Why not?'
