PO'd-Thyroid level question
The only insurance approval hold-up is that in August I had every test available and my thyroid THS was 5.25. My PCP did not feel that it was at the level that needed to be treated with meds. Insurance wants to know how that level is being addressed. I am going for a "redraw" tomorrow. Afraid that they will think the level is still too high. I do have thyroid pills- should I take them for a few days before I retest?
I found this out when I called to check on my insurance answer. Pissed off that my surgeon's staff member was so rude to me. And lied saying that she left me a phone message on my home phone 10 days ago. Also said that she had requested thyroid info from my PCP and no response. That was a lie too, which she later acknowledged.
I have a surgery date in 3.5 weeks! I am not telling my employer until I get the insurance approval in hand!
Help! Advise me please
Typically it takes awhile to get your thyroid adjusted. It took me 4 months to get my levels within an area that was normal for approval. Some insurance companies are really weird about that.
I've lost over 400 pounds!
