Hi I had my initial appointment yesterday and I meet all the qualifications no problem However I need a 5 year history. The only history I really had for the first 3 was my pregnancies and doctor visits. I do have the weights documented before my first pregnancy ( 4 1/2 years ago) and in between and after my second one. I was obsese before and after both pregancies. I just worry that my insurance will deny it because my history is mainly my pregnancies. I have United Health Care Just wondering if any one has advice or any experience with this situation. Thanks

I have Aetna and ran across the same 5 year issue. I was pregnant from Sept. 03 to June 04 and used the Vitals sheet from my OB/GYNS office because they showed my weight, my elevated BP but made no mention that I was pregnant. My OB made other notes regarding my pregnancy.  What they don't know ....................   Cathie

if your weights are in with the notes, you have every right to black out any info you do not want them to know, just leave your name and dates on the pages, better yet, have your ob's nurse write your weights and dates on a prescription pad and stamp it with the docs signature! it does work well, i send off the info to insurers all day long (nurse for bariatric surgeon) bonnie 264/155
