I am trying to understand. I had RNY in 2001 with another insurance. I now need a revision and there is an exclusion of any obesity related procedure on my new insurance. In this case is there any chance, should I even bother trying to go forward?

If it's an exclusion on your plan, then it is not covered. I work in an insurance company and i have never seen one done when there is an exclusion.
