For those who were denied or are appealing

If you were denied and are thinking of giving up, DON'T!  This is something we need to live healthier. I was denied in November of last year. Sure I felt down in the dumps and if it wasn't for people on here and on another site, I would have thought of giving up myself. We deserve this, so keep fighting. The insurance girl at the surgeons office was so nice and must have sent off a wonderful appeal. Here I am in appeals 3 weeks and I have my approval as of January 17th.  I almost could not believe it when they said I was approved.  By the way it does help to keep the daily journals of food exercise etc. as those were sent in with my appeal. Ditto! My first request for approval was sent in April of 2007 and I was just approved Tuesday.  To all: Don't give them what they want. Don't give in, Never give up!  Cathie

CONGRATS! Ihave been seeing your posts and i am happy for you. i still am DENIED! i feel like i don't even care anymore. it's sooo hard.

"Denied" is a harsh word, I know! But don't give up! If you don't care anymore, who's gonna?  I don't know your personal Insurance situation but I know enough to say your Insurance wants you to feel exactly how you do now. And they reeeeeeaaaaallllllllly want you to give up.  YOU DESERVE THIS! AND IF YOU WANT IT BAD ENOUGH YOU'LL FIGHT FOR IT!

I'm denied too right now but I am appealing.  You better not give up!!  Keep me posted.

You are 100% correct. Don't give up!  I was denied a couple of weeks ago and was down for days.. I was  for days. I worked so hard for 8 months just to have them deny me in less than  a day!!! Currently I'm getting all my ducks in a row to write a kick a** appeal letter and submit supporting documentation. I found an awesome sample letter that provides excellend facts and idea for the writing of my own. Oh..and I called my insurance for beneftis ...to see if I was missing anything, the girl told me that all I need is a letter from my Dr. stating its not for cosmetic reasons. HA..I know that is not the only thing that I need. But.. you can bet that I got her name and recorded the date and time of the call, and I am going to use that in my appeal letter as well.  Good luck to all!
