You aren't calling his employer, you are calling the insurance company about coverage. His job will never know, so what are you waiting for?  It will be months before you actually have surgery, you better get on it now! Depending on the criteria, you might have to do a 6 month medically supervised diet, so surgery could be a year away! Good luck! Bonnie 264/155

You're paying for it immediately.  I'd say you should get services you pay for.  I don't think etiquette rules apply.  I have never known an ins. co. to use etiquette books when they deny you something!!! Sorry--I have great ins. so far.  But they really make me angry when they play games so I say go for it right away. Best wishes,
