switched and got ???

we recently switched to bcbs.. i was denied by aetna..errrr.due to there 5 yr bmi rule anyway bcbs doesnt have that 5 yr rule my bmi is right at 40 was 42 at highest and went down to 39 during 6 month supervised diet do you think i will be approved?

i have a similar situation. I was switched from bc/bs to UHC and don't know what is going to happen. I have a consult with a surgeon weds (1/9/08) so hopefully I will get good news. When I called UHC the rep said i was covered as long as i had a bmi 35+ but no mention of 5 years. He didn't seem to be too with it (if you know what I mean).

well i am wishing you all the luck with getting approved.. i too go to the surgion again this month on the 18th.. then they will submittt it to bcbs.. oh the waiting in he@@.. i cant wait..they just have to say yes...
