Greetings from lurkersville

I have a question for anyone that is currently or has done a 6 month MD diet.  I am having a hard diet compling with this diet.Partly becuase I feel hungry a lot especially when I work nights I know that it is partly head hunger.   My PCP has me on a 1800 cal diet. I just saw the nut 2 weeks ago. She gave me a 1500 cal diet. My PCP wants to put me on Merida . My question is will this hurt my chances for the insurance company to pay for my band.  Cigna is my insurance carrier. Thank you in advance.

I can't see where Meridia would be much different than using another diet "aide" such as Medifast. Even though they are different, same principal.  Just saying that you have Cigna is kinda vague. What type of plan do you have? What is your plan's criteria for WLS? I know when i'm on Cigna's website for one of our patient's, we can get pretty detailed benefit information. Have you tried the site?  Best of luck,  Cathie
