United Healthcare anyone?

Does anyone here have United healthcare or have delt with them do they cover bariatric procedures?

I do and mine covers it.  The best thing for you to do is call them and ask.  Each policy is different and not all cover this.
Weight Lost since pre-op diet on 3/6/08 (Drs. scale has me 0.8 lbs less)

1st Fill on 4/28/08-3.2 cc; 2nd 5/16/08-0.3cc; 3rd 8/27/09-1.6cc; 4th 10/16/09-0.6cc; 5th 12/10/09-1.4cc

United offers many levels of coverage to employers, who then pick and choose the cost/benefit combo. Unfortunately, many employers are choosing to discriminate against obese employees to save a few bucks. Check your Certificate of Coverage for exact details (available from the HR department) or call them, as suggested above.
Duodenal Switch hybrid due to complications.

I just got switched over to UHC and I called them today and the guy I spoke to said WLS is covered but you have to have BMI 35+.  Give them a call and ask.  I think there are different levels of coverage.  Best wishes.

now i'm worried. the guy at uhc i spoke with seemed distracted so now i am worried that my surgery will not be covered. Guess i will find out through Barix.
