Merry Christmas - BCBS-IL Approval / Appeal Phone #

I heard this from someone who was likely to post it here, so I post this second hand, but have not checked it out myself.  Their main switchboard number is 217-477-2100.  The person who gave that number to me was appealing a non-WLS related denial, and got this number by looking at the address on correspondence then that address's phone number in an online phone book. They called, hit zero to get the switchboard, and told the operator they needed to be rung through to the department that reviews medical appeals.  They were rung through to someone in that department, who they were able to point out a couple of oversights on the part of BCBS-IL making their denial incorrect, and were told the person actually handling the appeal would be sent an e-mail with those details of their conversation.
