what should I reply?
So I'm stillll trying to get approved for WLS. My place of employment has about 25 full time employees who are enrolled in our health insurance. We currently have Health Net and as of Jan 1, we are switching to Anthem Blue Cross. (I live in CT by the way). Anyways, on the enrollment form there are tons of questions. They want to know my weight, and they ask if a doctor has recommended any surgeries within the past 5 years. If I say that WLS has been recomended, does that mean that it will be considered a pre-exsisting condition and they won't cover it, or will they be more likely to approve me? Can they deny me coverage due to my weight? HELP! My bosses are a little last minute and I need to hand in my forms ASAP!
Normally the pre-exsisting clause is if you haven't hand continuous insurance. You will get a letter from the old one saying that you were covered from such and such a date to the day it transfered over.
As long as you have that, you shouldn't have a problem with the pre-exsisting clause.
Unless you are required to take a physical, I don't think that they would deny you.
