Hello everyone,

I am considering getting bcbs fl ppo through my employer. Can anyone who currently has this insurance tell me what their requirements are for wls (example: 6 months supervised diet ect.)? Thanks.

Check out their website. I have bcbsil and requirements were: 6 months (consecutive dont dare miss 1 appt) supervised diet At least 5 years morbid obesity hx (medical records) BMI of 40+ or 35 w/2 comorbs Honestly see about checking their website

Most insurance companies has medical policies in place for WLS you need to ask your employer who handles your insurance if there is a provision or exclusion for WLS. That is the main key.
