Switching Insurance Jan 1, will future complications be covered?

I have been on my wifes insurance for the past 4 years. It is UHC with a written exclusion. At the begining of this year I got on my companies plan (bc of ca) in order to get my RNY covered. I had my surgery on Sept 24th. I have a stricture and when it was dialated last week something leaked air. The good news is that the upper GI showed no leaks. However at this point I am terrified about future complications and the cost of such complications. Here is the issue I really do not want to pay for two insurances. In addition my insurance benifits have been greatly reduced (from 100% coverage in network to 80% in network) My wifes policy is 100% in network. Honestly if it were not for the wls exclusion I can not imagine a better policy than my wifes policy. If I drop my insurance how are complications handled? What will happen with my stricture? What if I need a revision due to the stricture? Will these items be covered because I have been continually insured? Or will they be rejected because I had WLS? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, JDT
