I just faxed my appeal to Aetna

I not only faxed it, but I mailed it certified. I'm now crossing my fingers that everything works out. My doctor sent out over 114 pages and I narrowed it down to 32 pages of what they needed. Hopefully I was denied the first time because they didn't want to sort though 114 pages of doctor notes.

I'll be thinking about you and watching to see what happens.  I have Aetna also..... I"m thinking it could be a much l o n g e r process than I had hoped.

I have Aetna to so, curious to know why they said they denied you? My paper work will be submitted hopefully next week.

They just cut an pasted the entire criteria with the denial letter. My doctor sent 114 pages of medical records from my pcp. I decided to pull out one visit per year for five years. Along with my visits to the doctor for my supervised diet, the dietician and psychologist. And the results of my sleep study. It went down to only 32 pages. Hopefully they like it better this time.
