Hi there!  Anyone know if it's possible to write off WLS on taxes?  I'm self pay and looking for some advice with regard to paying for the surgery.  I am looking into the sleeve and know that it is not covered with my health insurance.  Any help would be much appreciated.  I'm looking for people who have tried to write it off or heard about it or know anything about this.  I thought I read somewhere that this  could be done but don't have any real data. THANKS IN ADVANCE! Pudge

I wrote mine off for my my gastric bypass in 1997. My insurance would not cover it at 440 lbs with several comorbites. That was Bc/BS of AZ .Dawn
