"out of pocket" adding up!

Just left the doc's office after writing him a check for $455.00!  This is the out of pocket cost for my Upper GI that I have scheduled for this week.  I hadn't met my deductible so they said I had to pay his fee before he'd do it.  Geez!  Let's see that's $200 for initial consult, $50 for the nutritionist, and now $455 for the Upper GI, and I still have two more preop appointments to go! $705 and counting.  If I get denied by my insurance, I'm going to be beyond pissed.   Thanks for listening.

I paid my intial consult but it was only 150.00 and that was in July, well last thursday i got a check from the surgeons office for the 120.00 whick was the 150.00 minus my copay. My insurance paid for it. Hopefully you will be so lucky too.

Submit to your insurance company, the worst they can due is deny it.
