AFLAC Disability Insurance

My husband and I will be on the starting block this coming Tuesday to start our journey to better health and weight loss. My husband has AFLAC  for disability here in CA through his employer. My question is; does anyone know if AFLAC will try to get out of making payments to him while he is recovering from surgery?  Any stories of experience with AFLAC would be appreciated.  I want to be armed with some information before we talk to the rep for AFLAC.  I did try looking through past pages of posts to see if I could find anything but came up with nada! Thanks in advance,

I have dealt with Aflac before, and I found that working with them was easy and painless. Since Aflac is purely a supplement insurance plan (of sorts), the only information required for pay out on claims is proof that you have incurred the charges for which you are submitting. That could be as simple as providing an EOB or a discharge slip from the surgeon. On the discharge slip, it should list how long your husband will be disabled.

I also found that their processing times were quick, especially for those who had direct deposit, so I don't think you'll have problems receiving your payment in a timely fashion either.

I only wished insurance companies worked as quickly and efficiently.

My experiance with AFLAC is that I had accident disablity and they told me that this didn't qualify under accident. If you have sickness disability it would. If you find out anything different please post.
