Does BCBSIL have a place to check for approval/denial?

Hi, I was wondering, besides calling, does BCBSIL have a website to check for approval for the WLS? My file will be sent off at the end of this week, and of course I want to be able to check and see. I just wanted to know if there is another option other than calling customer service. Thanks                            Renee

I am not sure but they have a website that you can view claims. Google search the address and register. I hope that helps!

Here is the company's Web site:  http://www.bcbsil.com/.  You should be able to create a log in (if you have not already done so) so you can check on your account's activity (e.g. claim processing, authorization information, etc.).  If the Web site does not provide you with all the information you need, then you probably will have to contact the customer service department or check in with the provider who submitted for authorization.
