Ok, sorry to ask a weird question... I live in Washington State BMI of 45 with comorbidities and am trying to get my insurance to cover a Lap Band Procedure. My Primary doctor is all for it, submitted it to my insurance, Molina Healthcare ( Basic health of Washington ) But they sent back a letter telling my doctor that they could not deny or approve it without hearing from the surgeon who would be performing it. And I called the doctor that I had wanted to do it, but his secretary said that they were not accepting any Medicaid patients and for me to try someone else. I have called place after place and was finally told to call my insurance company who they contract with to perform the procedure. Which I did and they said they dont cover any procedure. But one time, when I was trolling this site, I found a few people who listed their insurance as MOLINA and they got it covered!! But somehow, I cannot find this again, How do I find people listed on this site with my healthcare provider , without doing a "poll" ??? Or if someone has any good suggestions, please respond.
It may be a good idea to post your message in the Washington state forum. That way, you may get more answers from the locals. Here is the link: http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/WA/a,messageboard/board_id ,4849/
