After being denied twice from BCBSIL due to administrative problems I had to appeal through my employeer... I received a letter back from them stating that I did not meet the 6 month diet that BCBS requires..  Well, I did not send all the information in due to the fact that I wasn't asking for the surgery yet.. just the chance to continue the process.. I have been on WW since November of last year and I am currently still on it... My question is this... I am seeing the surgeron for the first time on Thursday coming up... should I go ahead and submit the WW info to my employeer or should I wait for the professionals to do it?  I just want this RED TAPE over with and to get on living a healthy life.. Any help would be appreciated!! Chrissy

I am sorry for all the issues you are experiencing, Chrissy. While your medical professionals should be submitting all the necessary information to get you approved for the surgery, you might want to take matters into your own hands now.  If you have been in Weigh****chers for the time that you have listed, then your employer and insurance company should be made aware of it.  Apparently, they are not, which is why they are denying the right to go forward in the process.  It seems to me that once you submit that information and it is satisfactory, you should be permitted to go forward. I hope I was able to provide you with the information you sought.
