Interested in financing or helping people finance surgery?

Anyone heard of Prosper.com? It's a site where people go to borrow or go to loan and earn interest. Like buying stock, only you bid on part of a loan. So, you can help out your fellow man. For instance, say Sarah needed surgery for $10,000. You'd like to help, but you only have $500. Well, Prosper is a place where 20 people with $500 each loan money to Sarah and earn interest back as she makes payments. I was thinking of starting a group at this site dedicated to helping people get their weight loss surgery.

Anyone here think they would be interested, as either borrowers or lenders?

My group got approved! It's free to join, and they give you a free credit evaluation when you set up a listing to borrow. No risk at all, they don't do a "hard" pull on your credit reports unless you are fully funded for the loan. People helping people, and it's for all grades of credit. I hope to see you join our group!

This is a fabulous idea, but unfortunately its not for "all" grades of credit - their minimum score is higher than some credit cards. I found out the hard way :(
